The riverfront of the Tejo river provides moments that are hard to forget. It is here that Vila Rio presents the unique location of the future neighbourhood, on the 27th of May, Saturday, with boat trips along the Tagus River, on the so-called “Rota de Vila Rio”. In a place where nature sets the pace of life, each tour will last around 1 hour and those interested must pre-book their trip in advance and pick up tickets at Galeria do Rio on the same day. The tours are free and will be carried out by a family company that originates in Avieiros – AvieiroTur. With a connection to fishing and the Tejo River, AvieiroTur emerged from the idea of demonstrating the beauty of the Tejo and bringing more people to the riverside area of Póvoa de Santa Iria, in order to energize and boost the place, which is characterized as the expansion from the city of Lisbon. A moment of leisure and discovery, where young and old will have the opportunity to learn about the secrets of the river, the fishing community or the local fauna, while gliding in the calm waters of the Tejo. The tours will take place from 15:00h until 17:00h and the beginning of the journey is located on the riverfront of Póvoa de Santa Iria.
