The project carried out by Loures Council represents an investment of 11 million euros and will be ready in time for the World Youth Day. After this event, the municipality intends to present ideas for a green park with access to this route along the Tagus.

There are six kilometers of pedestrian and cycle path next to the Tagus River that will connect the municipalities of Loures and Lisbon, between Santa Iria de Azóia and Parque das Nações, in less than a year, just in time for World Youth Day. The work began this month and will cost 11 million euros, of which two million will be supported by financing community under POR Lisboa 2020 and the rest by Câmara de Loures.
